- Ability to analyze risk exposure, assess loss data, and structure appropriate insurance products
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with brokers, agents, and clients.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in insurance, risk management, or a related field

- You will work closely with brokers and clients to evaluate, analyze, and provide tailored insurance solutions to meet the needs of the cannabis industry
- Key Responsibilities:Underwrite E&S package policies for cannabis operators, including both large-scale, multi-state operators and smaller retail-focused operations
- Assess risks and determine appropriate coverage for property, casualty, and other specialty lines related to cannabis businesses
- Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to understand business needs and develop customized insurance solutions
- Evaluate the risk profile of potential clients, analyze loss data, and apply underwriting guidelines to provide competitive quotes
- Manage renewals and endorsements, ensuring accurate and timely policy administration
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and cannabis-specific risks to ensure the company remains competitive in a rapidly evolving space
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers and key stakeholders in the cannabis insurance market
- Work with the claims team to ensure proper claims handling and coverage interpretation for cannabis-related risks
